The Felted Cuff

The cuff below was a design challenge that I got involved with through a blog I follow online.  I was sent wool roving, some crystals, seed beads, and a few other items.I was to use all of what was sent and whatever else I wanted to add to create a cuff.  Of course I needed to make something of glass, being a glass bead artist.  The colors were predetermined by the supplies that were sent, so I headed to the studio to make some glass cabochons.  As I made the glass cabochons, the design and the look of the cuff evolved in my minds eye.  The finished cuff is pictured below.

Once I started with the cuffs, I could not stop.  It was such a fun piece to create and enough of a design challenge, I could not stop.  The Tree of life cuff was the second one I created.  I have several more cuffs in the works and really enjoy every step of the process.  From felting my canvas, making the glass cabochons, to the embellishments.
