| Happy New Year! I hope that you have had a special holiday season with family and friends. I truly have enjoyed every moment with my family. I would also like to thank all of you for making it such a successful season at The Bead Bin. It is truly affirming to know that I made the right decision in re-opening. The store will be closed now until the 12th of January for year end inventory and restocking. I am also working on samples for new classes and workshops. I believe that 2010 is going to incredible. Over the coming months I am going to be introducing 10 new $10 workshops. You might be wondering what the difference between a class and workshop? Workshops will cover a small project or a focused skill and the fee will be just $10 plus supplies. Some of the topics include, Creating wire “S” clasps, Chain earrings, Mothers’ Bracelets, and Creating Stone Pendants. I am also going to add different classes to the schedule. I am especially excited about Keepsake Bracelets with family photographs using metal and resin. I will also cover some different jewelry techniques. We will create a bracelet by combining wire wrapping skills and hammering copper. I am also making some necessary repairs in the studio. We will be ready for torch time and classes by mid January. If you are interested in learning how to make glass beads, call or email me to set up a date for January or February.
